Delete your Elio account

You can permanently delete your Elio account, and all the data associated with it, at any time. There are two ways to do it.

Option 1 — Delete it in the app (immediate)

1. Open the Elio app.
2. Tap your profile icon (top-right) to open Account.
3. Scroll to Delete account.
4. Confirm, and re-enter your credentials when prompted.

Your account and data are deleted immediately and permanently — there is no recovery.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

If you have already uninstalled the app, or cannot sign in, email support@eliochef.com from the address on your Elio account with the subject “Delete my account”. We will verify it is you and complete the deletion within 30 days (usually much sooner).

What gets deleted

Your login and account (email, or Google / Apple sign-in); your profile and household members, including dietary requirements and allergies; your pantry and inventory, saved recipes and ratings, meal plans and shopping lists; scanned and imported data; and your notification tokens and stored app preferences.

Cancelling a paid subscription

Deleting your Elio account does not cancel an active subscription — subscriptions are billed by Google Play or the Apple App Store, not by Elio. Cancel in Google Play → Subscriptions, or App Store → your name → Subscriptions, before deleting your account.
